Mylei's baptism!
On Saturday April 10th, My sweet oldest child Mylei made the wonderful decision to be baptized. It was such a crazy and wonderful day. We went to the church and got her and and Brian ready and then headed into the chapel to listen to the talks and wait for our turn. There was 3 other kids in our ward being baptized that day. When it was our turn I walked with Mylei into the bathroom that leads into the font, they said the mom's of the girls could stand at the top of the stairs of the font. As I watched my sweet little girl walk down the those steps the emotions and the spirit was so strong. I thought I would be a bigger blubbering mess than I was, but it might have been because it happened so fast, Brian said the blessing and then I watched as he lowered her into the water and thinking how small she looked, wasn't it just yesterday that I held her for the first time, watching her learning to crawl, potty training, starting Kindergarten. I know it sounds like I am talking like she is leaving for college or getting married, but sometimes I feel like It will be there before I know it,and I am not cherishing it as much as I should be so when big mile stones happen lately with my kids I get all weepy, or maybe it has to do with me turning 30 last year or maybe both, I don't know I just sometimes wish there was a slow motion button I could push to slow life down but don't we all sometimes. Anyways back to the girl of the hour, we got her dressed, as I was helping her and I asked her how she was feeling, she said good and cold I couldn't help but laugh. We headed back to the chapel so she could get confirmed, When it was her turn I had a hard time hearing and paying attention because I as trying to get my other 2 crazy ladies to sit down and be quiet. But it was a wonderful time, After wards we headed over to the clubhouse by our house and had a great lunch with lots of family and friends. We were even lucky enough to have My cousin Marin and her husband Charles, and their 2 boys Blake and Bryce come up from Las Vegas to support Mylei. It was such a great day, I am so proud of her for making this important and wonderful decision that will bless her so much throughout her life, We love you Mylei.
