Sledding!

Ok so you will probably think we are neglectful parents after you hear what I have to say, but we have never taken our children sledding, until over Christmas break, I know! I know you are freaking out who doesn't take their kids sledding but we just have never got around to for 1 reason or another. So our good friends the DeNovellis's called and asked us we if we wanted to go so I called a friend and asked to borrow her snow tubes and well we were off. I was not sure if the ladies would have liked it or not since it involves being cold, getting wet and, hills. Well they had a blast, I didn't get pictures with them and the DeNovellis boys but 2 days later Brian's brother Brady called and said his girls were in town so we decided to go sledding with them, they came out and I was able to get pictures. Mylei loved it and was off,Lauryn on the other hand was not to excited cause she fell face first in the snow last time, so we had to force her on the tube and shove her down the hill, but it only took 1 time and she was a sucker for it and we had to drag her home. Emery liked going down with Brian once we forced her also a couple of times but all in all she was content to just play in the snow. When I was watching them have so much fun and laughing and having a great time, I couldn't help but think how blessed I am, How at that very moment life was perfect, I didn't think of all the worries life has, at that very moment I was content to sit in the cold weather and watch how much joy simply sliding down a hill of snow was making my children. I didn't want to leave, for my bubble of perfectness would burst and I would have to go back to life. What I need to do is remember that moment, and think how simple things in life can bring so much joy and be grateful for, that I have 3 healthy, beautiful children, and though life brings it's stresses and we can get so caught up in that. What really is important is my family and the simple things in life.
